If you are out & about in the Sarasota area & want an excellent lunch or dinner from off the beaten path, than I highly recommend going to the
Tavern & Whiskey Bar at the Longboat Key Club. Word to the wise, this is a huge resort so it's best to know before hand that the restaurant is located at the club house of the golf course near the Publix's on the right hand side of the road if your coming from St. Armands Circle & Downtown Sarasota. A dear friend of mine is the
Chef de Cuisine & he's awesome, amazing & very talented, I do mean it, I could go on & on here, but I won't.
TheTavern & Whiskey Bar has an excellent menu, I'm not saying this cos my friend is the Chef, but it's a well crafted menu with a lot of variety that encompasses the farm to table philosophy with of course a sexy presentation. The food does speak to you when you get it. I highly recommend this spot while visiting Sarasota! Go & enjoy a fabulous find! Mark my word on this one, it's a hidden gem! Let the flavors speak for themselves!
