Deepen Your Eye...
As Anton Chekhov once said, “If you
want to work on your art, work on your life.” I just love this one! Oh, oh, oh,
it’s so true. There are so many wonderful things that you can do for yourself
each day. The possibilities are endless with the sea of abundance in this
universe. If it means getting up
the courage to say that you have a problem and that you need help, then that’s
a powerful statement. There’s no shame in going to seek out help in whatever
way you choose to do it whether it is to going to a counselor for cognitive
therapy, a medium, acupuncture, attending a yoga class or mediation to taking
some time for yourself to nurture yourself. For me, my practice goes a wee bit deeper. It’s more about
embracing the sound of silence and seeing what the real beauty of the moment
has for you. To go deep within yourself you just have to dive in and create a
wee bit of rituals to keep you a float when you sail the seas. I particularly
love reading some inspiration quotes or listing to a talk, saying a few mantras
to keep me sane, writing a few pages in my journals first thing, listen to
music since music has an incredible healing power to raise those vibrations
especially Solfeggio frequencies, being in nature, burning some Palo
Santo or sage, giving myself Reiki, playing with Tibetan prayer bowls and
picking crystals that suit the issues that I'm working through. Whatever is
your way there’s no right or wrong way to do it. As Marcel Proust once said, "The
real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new lands but seeing with new
eyes." You got to be able to see things in a new light. It’s about
creating an opening for the aperture to gain light to snap that beautiful
photograph of life unfolding right before you. Embrace silence and the beauty
that the moment has to offer, you might not have another chance. What’s so
wrong with letting go of your own mental drama and the drama of others to see
what the observer really needs to see? Nothing, right, then step up to the
plate to embrace the real beauty of silence. You definitely have to get rid of what your mind is telling
you and to have the courage to follow your own intuition and heart! As Steve
Jobs once said, “And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and
intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become; everything
else is secondary.”
