Tides...

Ah, the Tides. The Tides Inn By The Sea has been a staple of Goose Rocks Beach for a century. Most people don't even know the history of the place. It's simply an iconic yellow building on the beach overlooking Timber Island. I do have a connection to the place. I worked there for one summer while I was in college, but that is not all. My dad's family actually owned the inn back in the 1960's. My grandfather was the one who gave the Tides its name. At one point it was called Allen's By the Sea. Oh, there's a legend there that Emma the ghost is still there. I have seen it during the summer that I worked there, her spirit can be felt there. There's so much history to the places you go. Yet, most don't know about it. Every place has a story to it.
