Know Thy Self

“That's me in the corner
That's me in the spotlight
Losing my religion
Trying to keep up with you
And I don't know if I can do it
Oh no, I've said too much
I haven't said enough”
That's me in the spotlight
Losing my religion
Trying to keep up with you
And I don't know if I can do it
Oh no, I've said too much
I haven't said enough”

Lately, I’ve been thinking of Agape for the self, your own
self love that is. Your main
responsibility is to take care of you from the inside and to let it radiate
onto others. Another phrase would be to create an ‘intimate relationship’ with
you, not in the terms of “let’s talk about sex”, but rather being comfortable
with sitting still with you and listing within for the answer not the outside
forces. The concept is pretty simple, but in our modern world it becomes hard
with the conditioning of the past and repeating endless cycles that DO NOT bring
us JOY, but rather misery to our selves.
The “kingdom of heaven” lays within you not something that you
constantly looking for outside with vises from sex, drugs to rock ‘n roll and
the media constantly brainwashing your ego with mixed messages on what is right
for you. It’s all about becoming healthier from the inside and breaking free of
the false beliefs’ from childhood to live a healthy and abundant lifestyle. Each one of us walks a different path
than the other and we have our own set of lessons to learn. Our experiences tend
to be our teachers; some situations will replay themselves like an old
Hollywood movie until we learn from the mistakes. As you go deeper within
yourself you will start to uncover the truths to the Universe. Each moment we
are constantly changing like a river traveling downstream; we just have to be
brave enough to allow it flow without forming an attachment to the situation
whether it be something good, bad or ugly. Our job is to show up and be the
best version of us that we can be in the moment. There’s nothing wrong with YOU
being YOU! You are the only one that can make you happy. Yes, happiness is an
inside job. It’s not about going out shopping to buy clothes just to buy
clothes, eating at “the golden arch” cos your craving French fries since they
are dirt cheap or abusing animals just for the fun of it. You are just walking
yourself home to that place inside of you filled with unconditional love. It’s
all about being true to you with you finding your own unique dance. The light is becoming the new black.
There’s an inner revolution going on and the only place to start is by turning
inwards to set you free. As Ram Dass said,
“Everything you do, whether you’re cooking food or doing
therapy or being a student or being a lover, you are only doing your own being,
you’re only manifesting how evolved a consciousness you are. That’s what
your’re doing with another human being. That’s the only dance there is.”
