Love & Let It Grow

“It’s been a long strange trip” to quote the Grateful Dead, as I recall what I said at my Matsue BOE (Board of Education) enkai’s going away party when I was leaving Japan.  However, internationalize the Japanese staff that I was working with by a Grateful Dead lyric was a bit of a challenge cos they didn’t understand the meaning. If it was a Beatles lyric then maybe, but I felt strongly that this lyric was the best one to sum up my two years living in Shimane Prefecture as an ALT (assistant language teacher) on the JET (Japan Exchange & Teaching) Programme.  Japan has been on my mind strongly for quite a bit of time lately to be honest. There was something deep & powerful with my experience there on many levels, some that my own family will not understand & never will get the concept but my stronger family will understand completely without a question. We are all soulful beings in this universe. It just depends on how you attach the label on where you’re coming from for this. I will admit that Japan was a great learning lesson for me to grow into the person that I am right now, but it still is letting me grow even deeper now on the levels that I need to do to keep on rocking in the free world.

As Bob Dylan said, “I accept chaos, I'm not sure whether it accepts me.” The storms we sail have many great gifts in them. They teach us what we need to learn. Some storms will repeat themselves with the same message but in a different context to say hey wake up & come clean with this. Trust me, I’ve seen it lately with what I got dealt with my deck of cards. But the best way to fight the storm is not to give up, but to surrender into the divine conception of the power of love.

Just let love guide you & listen to within for the answers. It’s a great feeling when you wake up knowing that you are putting yourself first by connecting your body, mind & soul into harmony with each other to go after your dreams. Let your dreams grow, blossom into the flowers that you want to see, don’t let others stop you. Just follow the inner light to capture your dreams before they slip away. There is a great gift inside of yourself, just unleash it. Let your love shine & radiate the world!
