Beach Clean Up

A friend of mine was hosting a beach clean up for her daughters Girl Scout Troop! Wow, what an eye opener morning on Kennebunk Beach with the loads of rubbish that is on the beach. I got talking with my friend about the abundance of these small plastic green parts from lobster traps that are everywhere. They reminded you of the micro beads that you can find in many cosmetics, which are harmful because they are made of plastic and once an animal eats it, it’s no good. There’s so much you can do to bring about change by being a good citizen of the Earth and pick it up and dispose it properly. “We don’t inherit the Earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children.” ~David Brower
