Trail of Memories....

It was an honor to have photographed the Hospice of Southern Maine's Trail of Memories 2017 memorial service. Words can't justify on what I saw with my eyes and felt with my heart! I heard the most beautiful poems and stories about the people who had passed into the spirit world there! The messages were filled with to enjoy life, it's not about how much money and material things you have, but more on the Now and how abundantly you lived. We must enjoy our time here in our physical bodies before we continue the circle of life in spirit form. I found out that Maine was second to last state (that would have been Alaska) to have created a hospice for its citizens. I immediately picked up that everyone was very loving, caring and wanted to be there working or volunteering! There's are many resources available these days and help is available, don't be afraid to ask. I loved seeing the beach pebbles to be placed in the gardens and it reminded me of a fairy garden. The roses were to be placed by the bricks in honor of those who died peacefully! I saw some beautiful flowers placed around the bricks in the shape of a heart too! We are all part of the cosmos and must remember to love the time that we have in our physical bodies here on Earth! "Knowing yourself goes far deeper than the adoption of a set of ideas or beliefs. Spiritual ideas and beliefs may at best be helpful pointers, but in themselves they rarely have the power to dislodge the more firmly established core concepts of who you think you are, which is part of the conditioning of the human mind." ~Eckhart Tolle
