It's been a while since I actually had my feet in the ocean, maybe a little over a week & half & that's not long. I've seen the ocean many days in Maine, but the thought of going in is way out of the question. Absolutely not, I need a dry suit this time of year. I found myself on the beach today with my mom at Boca Grande, an island on the Gulf of Mexico side of Florida about an hour or so south of Sarasota. Yes, I went in the ocean today. Oh, don't I just love that. The beach I went to is the public part of Boca Grande & you just have to turn off of 13th Street to park your car & walk down the the street & your there. The ocean is at your finger tips. Lovely beach day in February!
