Lake Eva
Trees in the Forest |
It was a lovely sunshine filled day in Southeast, which was
perfect for an afternoon excursion with the crew to hike at Lake Eva. The Tongass National Forest was fully
alive & well with lush green fauna & a chilly lake. The forest service has done a fantastic
job with the trail maintained cos I noticed it to be much more cleaner than the
last time that I hike here that was a couple years ago. Lake Eva is located on
the northeastern coast Barnof Island in the mouth of Peril Strait. There was
heaps of mosses, ferns & shrubs along the trail with the beautiful Sitka
spruce & western hemlocks. It
was nice to escape the boat for a while to take part in hike to be one with
nature & to refresh the sprits.
