Sea of Cortez

Colorful artistic buildings.
I wish that I was sailing back in the Sea of Cortez right now.  I quite enjoy being on deck watching whales, dolphins and other beautiful marine life peacefully swimming and carrying on their daily business.  I remember one unusual town that I stopped in, Santa Rosalia.  It's famous for a church built by Gustave Eiffel, as in the Eiffel Tower in Paris and its French inspired architecture. It's quite the remote desert mining town, which reminded me of being on the set of Mad Max in Coober Pedy without the underground houses.  The water is not safe to drink in this port, get yourself a big bottle of water for like $1USD.  It's a good place to wonder around and to get lost to catch a glimpse of the real culture.  Let's just say I was camera happy and loved exploring a new part of town in the few times that I actually have set foot in this port.  A good place to find fish tacos is to go to one of the local stands and with my lack of Spanish I ordered two for like $2USD and they were yum yum yum!
