28 Powerful Questions...

I found this exercise to be a wee bit of a challenge for kids, to write a reflection piece of one page or more over one question. I noticed that kids were having trouble with tuning out the noise of their own chatter and the chatter of others when it comes to questioning their own lives. We tend to forget about ourselves, but rather bring our focus more so on the outside forces neglecting our own needs. It seems as if society has ingrained in our minds from an early age that we must not take care of our own need, but rather the needs of others are far more important than our own. We have learnt this behavior back when we were five or so.  28 Powerful Questions for a Happy Life are full of some really deep food for thought for the minds of the future generation and not to forget yourself. I wonder if the responses would be different if the kids found some aspect of silence and really listen closely to reflect on the list. Let it flow organically and natural out of you. Some tend to brush it off like life as such a joke. It was as if questioning your own life was not a status symbol to be liked by society. Powerful questions can help us change our thinking and helps us to create powerful change from within that we are thirsty for. "Aha" moments come from the clarity.  I notice that the list with questions: What are you most grateful for?, What are you avoiding?, Do you find yourself influencing your world, or it influencing you?, If joy became the national currency, what kind of work would make you wealthy? and so forth were rather real questions to be honest with yourself first. I took a look at the list and realize that these were in fact some of the questions that I have been asking myself lately. It's once we become honest with ourselves and acknowledge helping ourselves first then we can truly change. It's all about getting rid of our old limiting believes, letting our light of knowledge of working on ourselves to shine onto others to bring about the true change that the world is looking for!
